From Mad World: A Facebook page, which is said to have been created for a white student audience at the University of Illinois, has come under vicious attack with accusations of being racist, hateful, and non-inclusive. Although the new movement is so far only isolated to a Facebook page and was apparently created as a direct response to the seemingly endless, on-campus #BlackLivesMatter protests, the reaction has been intense and the hypocrites are coming out of the woodwork.

University's "White Student Union" Page Triggers RAGE From #BlackLivesMatter Hypocrites

In an anonymous statement to The News-Gazette, the creator of the Illini White Student Union page explained the justification for creating it.

A message from the page administrator, in response to a News-Gazette inquiry, said the page was created as a response to recent protests on campus.

“We feel they disrupt student daily life and activity far too much. We are in the United States and not Africa and we don’t desire to have an African flag on campus,” the message said.

The message said the university fails to protect the rights and free speech of white students and “marginalizes them.”

The original page was taken down by Facebook after receiving complaints from school administrators, but that hasn’t stopped the creator(s) from reposting it. Robin Kaler, who is a spokesman for the University, seems to be quite flustered that the attempts to censor the group’s free speech are repeatedly being thwarted.

“It is disturbing and cowardly that someone would create an anonymous and senseless social media page specifically designed to intimidate others, including and especially our students. When we became aware of the page, we immediately contacted Facebook and requested that it be removed,” campus spokesman Robin Kaler wrote in an e-mail to the Daily Illini. “Facebook has been responsive to our requests, but the page continues to be reposted. We are continuing to work with Facebook to address this matter. We recognize that passions run deep on all sides of many issues, but actions like this are senseless and hurtful and do nothing to foster meaningful dialogue.”

Really? But what about the actions of the sign waving heathens on campus who proclaim that only black lives matter? Is that not “senseless and hurtful” to white people — not to mention extremely distracting and annoying?

There has been absolutely no indication from the posts on the page that they are interested in promoting racism of any kind. In the “About” section of the page, it states the purpose as being, “A group for white University of Illinois Students. The first white student organization on campus.”  Another post said, “Nothing on this page is hateful. Everything posted on here will be factually well-researched and truthful. We are committed to the fair and equal treatment of all, and yes that mean whites too.”

So, what’s wrong with that? It sounds reasonable enough. However, it seems to be the term “white” that people are being triggered by.

The university’s chancellor for student affairs, Rene Romano,  issued a statement calling the posts “offensive to our university community.”

“Posts and pages such as these stand in complete opposition to the values of mutual respect and community that define the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While they may be protected exercises of free speech, they are offensive, divisive and stunningly narrow-minded expressions,” Romano said. “Just because someone has the power to make a statement does not mean that we should give those words weight or value.”

Say what? Having large groups of black students hollering, chanting, and harassing other students on campus isn’t a problem, but a group organized online for white kids is an offensive affront to humanity?

Liberal hypocrisy knows no bounds. Americans of all ages are starting to wake up and realizing that there really is no true equality in America — if you happen to be white. I hope groups like this one at the University of Illinois start trending all over the country. It is a legitimate effort at countering the racist and discordant #BlackLivesMatter movement, and no matter what the whining hypocrites say, it is completely fair and absolutely justified.
