The Badge Gets Heavier

“I swear, my newborn son poops 63 times a day. But I don’t mind. That’s what a diaper holster is for (patent pending). I’m watching him sleep as I sit here and type. Peaceful, without worry. He knows that dad is here, and when he cries because he pooped for the 64th time, I will hold him, (change him), and bring him comfort. When he gets older, I want a safe world for my son …peaceful, without worry. That’s what I live for, that’s what I work for. I put the badge on every day because I want to help build that future for him. It is a serious task to take on, and it makes the badge heavy.

My 2 year old daughter is the cutest, most adorable, craziest, and most emotionally disturbed person I have ever known. One minute she is demanding that I put on Zootopia, and is clearly articulating in Baby English (it’s an official language as far as I am concerned) why it would be an act of WAR if I did not put it on.

The next minute she is giving me hug while saying, “Eye wuv shoo” (Also in baby English, but I’ll take it). I can hear her snoring upstairs as I sit here and type. Peaceful, without worry. She knows that daddy is here, and when the sound of thunder wakes her out of bed, I will hold her and bring her comfort. When she gets older, I want a world without fear for my daughter. That is what I live for, that is what I work for. I put the badge on every day because I want to help build that future for her. It is a serious task, and it makes the badge heavy.

My wife…., the mother of my beautiful children. We have our ups and downs, but she has my back.

black officer 3

It hurts to see the gloom on her face as I slap my vest on, throw on my gear, and rush out the door because I’m trying not to be late for roll call (again). I can never forget how she looks into my eyes, as if it may be the last time she ever sees me again. She is asleep upstairs as I sit here and type, not peaceful… and full of worry. She learned of three wives in Baton Rouge that will never see their husbands again. I learned of three husbands, fathers, and brothers that will never change another diaper as I have today. They will never again, turn on their kid’s favorite movie. They wanted a better world for their family. That is what they lived for, and that is what they worked for. They put the badge on every day because they wanted to help build that future for them and others. It was a serious task. It made their badges heavy.

Those men and women who gave all,..to all,… were my family. Most of us will get to sleep peacefully tonight… without worry, thanks to the men and women who put that heavy badge on every day to make a better future for us.

As hurt and devastated as we are, I guarantee that tomorrow, I along with all Law Enforcements Officers will put that heavy badge on again. We will continue to serve our community, even though the badges that we put on will have the weight of three more badges added on. We owe it to them to carry on what they lived for, what they worked for, and what they died for. We will put on the weight of the badges of our slain fellow officers and pick up where they left off,…to help build a better future for their families, our families, and others. It is a serious task, and it makes our badges heavy.”

If that doesn’t instill some truth and reality into your life I don’t know what will. Their isn’t a dry eye in my office right now.

Trump Just Obliterated Obama For What He Took From WH Because He Was Sick Of Seeing It Every Day

HE HATED THE PLACE, THIS PROVES IT!

Published

on

Our new First Lady Melania Trump released her first White House Christmas video this past Monday. It shows all the decorations which illustrate a stark difference between the Trump’s and the Obama’s Christmas at the White House celebration.

The most obvious difference between the two decorating styles is the ambiance. Melania Trump decorated the White House to look like a peaceful and magical place, very elegant and the definition of what Christmas is supposed to be. She shared the video of the display on her Instagram page.

The Christmas decorations and some scenes looked just like a true come to life winter fairytale land, something out of a book. But what is most important about this video is the nativity scene, which had been absent from the White House since Barack Hussein Obama took office in 2009.

The White House’s 2017 nativity scene

The fact that the White House once again has a nativity scene proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that President Trump did, in fact, keep his promise to bring “Christmas back” and end the so-called “Happy Holiday” movement.

What a difference one year can make. The Obama’s final Christmas in the White House had no mention of Jesus whatsoever. The decorations included a vast display of Lego gingerbread houses. Michelle actually hired a team of Lego builders to build a total of 56 gingerbread houses which required a total of over 200,000 Lego pieces. Because we all know nothing says “Christmas” and “Jesus” like Legos. In fact, the Obama era decorations had nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus at all.

South Dakota’s gingerbread house features Mount Rushmore and is one of the 56 one-of-a-kind Lego gingerbread houses–one for each state and territory. It took more than 200,000 Legos and 500 hours to build these decorations for the State Dining Room.

Please America, please don’t make the same mistake again. There is no way a person who has a Muslim name and upbringing should ever be President of the United States of America again. We all know the majority of Americans suffered from white guilt in 2008 and 2012, but now we are over it. And America can once again be America again!

Christmas Traditions at the White House

Nineteenth-century White House Christmas celebrations were not grand state affairs but usually simple family events. The first family decorated the house with greens and there were celebrations on the holiday.

The first White House Christmas party was held in December 1800. President and Mrs. Adams gave it for their four-year-old granddaughter Suzannah, who was living with them. The Adams invited the children of “official” Washington to the party.

One of the most elaborate children’s Christmas parties was President Andrew Jackson’s “frolic” for the children of his household in 1834. This party included games, dancing, a grand dinner, and ended with an indoor “snowball fight” with specially made cotton balls.

The first Christmas tree in the White House was placed in the second floor Yellow Oval Room (then used as a family parlor and library) in 1889 (Benjamin Harrison administration). It was decorated with candles, toys, etc. for the Harrison grandchildren.

The Cleveland Family tree decorated with red, white and blue electric light bulbs, delighted the president’s young daughters. It was placed in the second floor Oval Room of the White House in 1894.

President and Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt hosted a “carnival” during the 1903 Christmas season for 500 children including dinner, dancing, musical entertainment, souvenirs, and a special treat in the form of ice cream formed in the shape of Santa and other Christmas novelties. President Roosevelt, an avowed conservationist, did not approve of cutting trees for Christmas decorations. However, his son Archie defied the ban and smuggled in a small tree that was decorated and hidden in a closet in the upstairs sewing room.

The Taft children placed the first tree on the State floor in the Blue Room in 1909. The Wilsons continued to have a tree in the Blue Room.

President Calvin Coolidge was the first chief executive to preside over the National Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the Ellipse in 1923. Today, the Christmas Pageant of Peace, a major event held annually on the Ellipse since 1954, includes the lighting of the National Christmas Tree. This celebration respects the holiday worship of all faiths and features the appearance of the first family to light the tree and host live musical and dance performances.

First Lady Lou Henry Hoover established the custom of decorating an official tree in the White House in 1929. Since that time, the honor of trimming the Christmas tree on the state floor has belonged to our first ladies. The tree stands in the oval Blue Room, an elegant space honored as the center of holiday splendor.

In 1961, First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy began the tradition of selecting a theme for the official White House Christmas tree. She decorated a tree placed in the oval Blue Room with ornamental toys, birds and angels modeled after Petr Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite” ballet.

In 1961 First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy began the tradition of selecting a theme for the official White House Christmas tree. That year the tree was decorated with ornamental toys, birds, angels and characters from the “Nutcracker Suite” ballet. For the American Flowers Tree in 1969, First Lady Patricia Nixon arranged for disabled workers in Florida to make velvet and satin balls featuring each states official flower.

The record for the number of trees in the White House was held for many years by the Eisenhower administration when 26 trees filled every floor of the house. That mark has been eclipsed on several occasions in recent times, including the Clinton administration’s 36 trees in the 1997 theme of “Santa’s Workshop,” and the 2008 White House Christmas decorations of the Bush administration that included 27 trees as part of a theme of “A Red, White and Blue Christmas.”

Franklin D. Roosevelt always read Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to his family on Christmas Eve.
Beginning in 1961, in the Kennedy administration, themes have been selected for the Blue Room tree. That year was decorated with objects depicting characters and toys from the “Nutcracker Suite” ballet.
Since 1966, the National Christmas Tree Association has held a competition for the White House Blue Room tree.

Over her eight White House holiday seasons, First Lady Hillary Clinton showcased the talents of America’s artistic communities. First Lady Laura Bush varied the decorations, including the themes of “All Creatures Grand and Small in 2002” highlighting her love of animals and the importance of pets to White House history and a patriotic “A Red, White and Blue Christmas” in 2008. The theme had been inspired by letters from Americans that began arriving after September 11th suggesting the White House have a red, white and blue Christmas. First Lady Michelle Obama announced the 2010 White House Christmas theme of “Simple Gifts” and she explained, “The greatest blessings of all are the ones that don’t cost a thing: the time that we spend with our loved ones, the freedoms we enjoy as Americans and the joy we feel from reaching out to those in need.”

Please share if you are happy to say “Merry Christmas” again….

Carrie Underwood Just Dropped Sudden Announcement She Hid For Months After Bashing Trump

PEOPLE ARE PISSED!

Published

on

After centering another celebrity ego-stroking awards show around bashing President Donald Trump, country singer Carrie Underwood, who used to be America’s favorite American Idol and “girl next door,” has come out with a sudden shock announcement.

The star has been mostly out of the scene since hosting the disrespectful Annual Country Music Association Awards on Nov. 2nd in part due to a devastating and unfortunate accident she was in outside her home in Tennessee. It happened just a few days after trashing Trump on stage and was simply reported as a fall at first, until weeks later when she revealed it was a lot more than that. After announcing that she had to get 40 stitches to her face following the fall, she’s emerged one more time with a sudden announcement that’s taking her fans, supporters, and even her haters by complete surprise.

When Carrie revealed that her face required extensive stitches after the fall, she did so passively by not showing the actual damage. It was previously reported, that she said she got 40 stitches from what was initially described as practically nothing more than a stumble, but did so using a pic of her face wrapped up in a knit scarf. Of course, the selfie was stunning showing her gorgeous eyes, but not the injury everyone wondered about. Now we’re learning the final result of that injury.

It was speculated at the time of her telling of her 40 injuries that she would likely use her horrific experience in a positive way – perhaps to empower others to be confident in themselves regardless of anything that makes them different from others. We’re now seeing that the exceptional songbird is doing just that in the most incredible way and certainly coming out as a champion over her injury. We’re pretty sure that if you love Carrie, you’re going to love what she’s doing now and if didn’t like her before for her political antics, you might become her newest fan of hers if her song seems like she’s seeing the error in her ways before.

CBS Sports is still not feeling the love for Underwood who just threw some major shade on her new debut, still unimpressed by the star for a number of reasons.

Songs about sports are rarely good. For every “Heart of a Champion” by Nelly there are a million “Centuries” by Fall Out Boy. They’re contrived, boring, and safe — exactly what good music often isn’t. But if you were wondering, “hey, I wonder what Ludacris is up to” this morning, I highly doubt the first thing that came to mind is “collaborating with Carrie Underwood on a Super Bowl anthem.”

And yet, here we are. Underwood and Luda collaborated on a song called “The Champion” that released on Friday, and it… did not break the mold.

Carrie Underwood is no stranger to contrived NFL theme songs. If she’s been waiting all day for a Sunday night, she’s been waiting all year for Super Bowl Sunday night. And if she’s a Titans fan (I’m guessing here, as she’s married to the Predators’ Mike Fisher) then she can at least say this song could be about the Titans. Luda’s Falcons are still in, too, so what two people are better qualified for this song? Should Migos have had a guest verse? Probably, but it’s too late for that.

Sometimes the empowering songs you sing in the shower are the best one and not those that you think makes you look cool. CBS Sports should take note of that fact because clearly, Carrie knows what she’s doing. We’re pretty sure that her haters, including those who on the surface act to cool for a “champion” song, will be singing along when nobody’s looking. The world needs more awesome anthems like this, even if some think it’s cheesy.

However, not everyone is willing to forgive and get on board with Ms. Underwood as we’ve seen in the barrage of comments made after her Trump-trashing session on stage. Many fans bailed on her and may not be coming back no matter what.

Just as furious fans have turned every football game off, they did so to the CMAs in an immediate reaction to their insulting acts to the man they voted for and are proud of.

Opposing Views caught some of the reactions that filled the Internet as real-time ratings for the awards show began to drop from the mass exodus of offended country fans.

“Well even the #cmaawards has to open up by mocking the President,” wrote one person on Twitter. “Time to find something else to watch that won’t involve politics.”

“So very disappointing that the CMAs brought politics to the show,” said a commenter in Daily Mail’s comments section. “I won’t watch again, nor support you with my money.”

It’s disturbing that not a single awards show in the eight years Barack Obama was president ruthlessly mocked him, as almost every one of them in the past 10 months of Trump’s presidency has. There would be outrage for days if the tables were turned on this. These country stars didn’t listen to the warnings from their show association, but more importantly, they didn’t learn from the fallout of the NFL from pissed patriots and now their industry could soon pay a similar price.

BREAKING!! Kate Middleton Just Rushed To The Hospital And Seen Without Her Wedding Ring!

SHE NEEDS OUR SUPPORT!

Published

on

With a number of recent catastrophes and drama within the Royal family, we’ve recently seen that being married to an heir of the Queen isn’t all fairytales and perfection. American actress Meghan Markle probably thought that she would forget her roots and waltz into this life of privilege and praise, but quickly learned that there’s a lot behind the title that maybe not have anything to do with storybook endings.

Kate Middleton came before Meghan Markle and has so far worn the proverbial British crown with impressive class. She exudes elegance and tradition and carries herself with a level of respect and compassion that hasn’t been seen since Princess Diana. She’s not just England’s Princess, America has adopted her as our own sense of royalty for the incredible example she sets as someone of such celebrity status that’s not often seen here in the states. It’s for that reason, that we take exceptional notice of her recent trip to the hospital while being seen without her ring, that has citizens of the U.S. realizing what’s really unfolding right now.

The Duchess of Cambridge has a lot on her plate right now with not only royal duties some may not realize come with the privilege, but she’s also expecting her third child with Prince William while having two young toddlers still to care for. She’s the picture of multi-management and one has to wonder where she gets the daily energy from to do it all and look flawless in the process. Like our own “reality” here in America, Middleton is a very hands-on mom like Melania Trump is. However, both of them now have one very special thing in common now.

Both the role of Duchess and First Lady of the United States come with far more responsibilities than people realize or give credit for. However, both of these women take their positions very seriously. What we just saw out of incredible Kate Middleton this week is something reminiscent of our own First Lady and needs not to be underestimated.

Like Melania, Kate has a heart for kids who can’t be home playing and being with their families. She genuinely cares for little tots, but it’s what she did when she went to visit sick kids in the hospital that is exceptionally impressive for this day and age.

The Daily Mail reports:

It is not every day a child meets a royal like the one they read about in storybooks and see in movies.

So it is of little surprise these excited primary school pupils wanted to make the most of the few moments they had with the Duchess of Cambridge when she visited their school today.

Pregnant Kate, 36, visited Bond Primary School in Mitcham, south-west London, this afternoon to see the work of the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative.

When it came time for her to leave, the pupils she had met politely lined up to bid the royal visitor farewell.

But when Kate leaned down to shake hands with the first child in the queue, the little girl reached out for a cuddle instead – and the royal was very happy to oblige.

The heart-warming moment, which was captured on camera, continued as the girl’s classmates followed her lead and each gave Kate a hug farewell – much to the delight of the duchess.

Perhaps intentionally, Kate wore minimal jewelry, including a flashy wedding ring befit for a princess. She opted instead for a relatable look as to focus most of the attention of the kids and not her flash and fashion.

While some have been or may be quick to be critical of her volunteer work, claiming it’s just a royal duty for a person of her privilege, what fails to be recognized in her case as well as Melania’s is that regardless of they title they love this particular way they can be genuinely involved. It’s completely clear by the reactions and interactions caught in these pictures that Kate is enjoying every second of volunteering her time. This is something that people here in America can learn from our First Lady’s example who does the same, as well as by this royal leader who sets an incredible example across the pond. The world needs more of this kind of love for strangers and the suffering – and that’s something everyone can or should agree with.

What’s truly empowering for women in a feminist movement that’s so prevalent and vile these days is that if these women really wanted to make a difference, they could in an impactful way by simply being compassionate. The true representatives of real feminine virtue are leaders like Melania and Kate who never talk about their impact, they only represent by their example with what really matters – acts of genuine compassion and not divisive hate and entitlement.
